His drumming journey began with a passion for rock music from a very young age
Pete started drumming when he was ten years old and has been receiving drum lessons since he
was thirteen years of age. His drumming journey began with a passion for rock music from a very young
age, with his main influences being hardcore, shoegaze, progressive rock and jazz.
Throughout high school Pete taught basic drum lessons to younger students. He was also a peer support
leader and ran rhythm-based games for primary school carnivals and played regularly at school assemblies
and gala days.
Pete's main musical project is an alternative-rock band called Osprey, which has been playing around
Newcastle and Sydney for two years. He also has two other side-projects. One is hardcore band called
Skorn, and another is an unnamed shoegaze band that is still in development.
Pete primarily focuses on professional development, mainly in tools and skills to utilise around the kit and on
techniques to incorporate into drumming.
