Home visit guitar lessons

Guitar Lessons

We'll teach you how to play the guitar from the basics! You will be given the musical knowledge, correct guitar techniques and foundational skills to be able to pursue learning. We think that motivation is a very important element of success for young people to play the guitar. This means we teach popular pop and rock songs to children & teenagers in a fun and enjoyable atmosphere. Our tutors teach all styles, levels & ages on acoustic, classical, electric and bass guitars.

Ukulele Lessons

Ukulele is an affordable and child-friendly instrument! It's a great introduction to the experience of playing a musical instrument for all ages. We recommend starting on ukulele lessons for young students between the ages of 5-7. The chording technique is much easier and less physically demanding than guitar, also it's smaller and easier to hold.

Piano / Keyboard Lessons

Piano is an amazing instrument that is enjoyed by people of all ages! We teach students of all levels who are interested in preparing for AMEB exams, music theory or just learning how to play their favourite songs for fun. All styles modern, blues, jazz, pop, rock from beginner to advanced. Learn about scales, key signatures and chord progressions and a wide variety of musical pieces and develop your improvisational skills.

Drum Lessons

Learning drums is a great skill to have! It allows you to understand how percussion structures and gives energy to the music. The starting age for drumming lessons is 5 years old. Children love drumming as it is fun and interactive, and improves their motor-coordination skills. We teach fun drumming foundations and mastering basic drum beats, rhythm and patterns.

Singing Lessons

We offer FUN singing lessons to students from the age of 5 to adults. Beginner to advanced levels in a friendly and encouraging environment. Our singing tutors can teach singing techniques including breathing and vocal range, performance and timing, tone and dynamics, warm-up techniques, ear training, scales- pentatonic, major & minor, voice maintenance. We help you achieve your singing goals and allow you to engage fully with your passion and develop your talent!

Home visit Music Production Lessons

Music Production Lessons

If you love music and technology, why not combine the two and learn how to set up and use your own home music studio to become a budding music producer! All you need is a computer and some free software. You may also need a MIDI keyboard or MIDI controller to help create the sounds (which we can advise you on). Let our tutors show you how to write, record and how to use a DAW (digital audio workstation) such as Ableton, Logic or Cubase. 

Students will learn basic music theory and how to layer different instruments to create a song/track.

Cancellation Policies

  • Lessons cancelled with less than 24 hours notice are forfeited (paid cancellations). 

  • Please do not discuss schedule changes with the tutor, we require written notice via email or text for a make-up lesson or reschedule to occur.

  • A maximum of TWO make-up lessons are granted each term.

  • If the tutors cancel lessons then credit will be rolled over to the next term or an extended lesson at a later date.

  • Please contact MGS to avoid forfeiting tuition fees.
